Death race is a flagship robotic event of Cyborg in Innovision, where the objective of the event is to build a manual bot which would be able to compete in a faceoff round and subsequently compete to cover an arena made up of concrete, ground and plywood having different hurdles and obstacles peppered throughout the path. The bot may be wired or wireless. If it is wireless, it must able to run on two different frequencies. The first round was consist of 12 different obstacles. The first obstacle is the Face-off Arena. Two bots will start and enter the faceoff arena at the same time where, blocks each of specified size would be there for each team and 1 common cylinder for both the teams. The teams have to place all the blocks of their, into the scoring area before they can move to the cylinder. Other subsequent obstacles includes zig-zag paths, mountainous terrain, path with inclination, rope ways, fire and water paths.Next round was consist of 15 obstacles. New obstacles like horizontal fan and slope with hopes were introduced. This were the picking and placing mechanism was introduced. The number of participants were around 500. Total 91 teams competed in round 1 , out of which 16 teams were selected for round 2.
