The Idea Awakens

Event Image

“Ideas are easy. It's the execution of ideas that really separates the sheep from the goats.” ― Sue Grafton Keeping this as motive, we, team of Cyborg successfully organised an 'Idea Presentation' event in International Student's Meet, 2016. With more than twenty ideas being formatted into valuable designs for execution, all ideas are just awesome in their respect. Ideas based on robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Softwares and many more geeky domains which somehow are connected to Star Wars. And yeah, that is amazing. Those ideas are way more practical and executable. It has been decided to execute those ideas and project plans in near future as Cyborg Projects.

Tread-o-Quest

Event Image

An autonomous bot, trailing a white line on its own, while detecting colours and taking decisions itself, shows a slight glimpse of what robotics has accomplished. The participants practice hard before the event, making small adjustments to their bots according to the arena. The excitement of letting your bot start is clearly visible on the participants faces, it can be compared with a parent bird throwing its baby into the air, to see if it would fly. Each year the event witnesses more and more participants and each year cyborg cherishes all the flying babies that the event saw diving.

AquaSoccer

If soccer wasn’t enough to attract your attention, we have added another eye-catching aspect to it- ‘aqua’. Conspicuous enough? Aquasoccer is another manual event conducted by cyborg. The manually controlled bots are required to score goals by pushing floating balls in their own goal post. Each ball had a different point. All teams had their eye on the Queen ball. With the entire crowd cheering when the two teams went after her, the event became an instant hit.

Death race

If you have ever been to innovision, the official tech fest of NITR, you wouldn’t be ignorant of the death race. Continuing its streak for four consecutive years, death race is one of the most attractive events of the tech fest. The manually controlled bots compete against each other against ALL the odds that you can dream of- fire, water ,sand, slopes ,rotating platforms ,etc. every year the participation increases and last year had seen a participation of more that 30 teams.
